Sarah Anderson, President

Ms. Anderson is the president of S. Anderson Consulting. Ms. Anderson controls all aspects of S. Anderson Consulting, including client engagement, development analysis and feasibility, and complete application oversight.

Prior to the establishment of S. Anderson Consulting in 2004, Ms. Anderson was employed by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for eight years. She finished her career with TDHCA as the Director of the Center for Housing Research, Planning, and Communications. Her responsibilities included the facilitation of planning and policy initiatives for TDHCA, coordination of the information and publications clearinghouse, and oversight of the communications section.

She is a founding member of the Texas Housing Forum, a statewide affordable housing policy and research group, as well as the Texas Housing Colloquium, which provides educational opportunities for its members to build familiarity and trust among geographically, ethnically, professionally, and economically diverse members of the Texas housing community.

Alyssa Carpenter

Ms. Carpenter assists with the daily matters of S. Anderson Consulting including application packaging, communication with funding entities, website design and maintenance, and various other projects.

Prior to joining S. Anderson in September 2006, Ms. Carpenter was employed by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for five years. As a member of TDHCA's policy and planning division, Ms. Carpenter was responsible for the development and completion of the department's planning documents, research projects and reports, and information requests. Ms. Carpenter also oversaw the Texas Statewide Homebuyer Education Program, which hosts homebuyer education training and certification for Texas nonprofits.
